Boys Keep Singing was funded by the AHRC as a knowledge transfer project to make available the work of three researchers.
Professor Martin Ashley was the principal investigator. His work is on the psycho-sociology of boys’ singing, adolescence and the timing of voice change.
Professor David Howard’s main interests include the analysis and synthesis of singing, speech and music.
Dr Jenevora Williams is a singing teacher, voice coach and teacher-in-residence to the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain. Her research is on the vocal health of boy choristers.
